The James Hotel West Hollywood Says Goodbye ... Without Saying Hello?
The James Hotel West Hollywood, originally slated for a May 2017 opening has officially deserted the Sunset Strip project. The 10-story hotel originally planned to be part of the Sunset|La Cienega project was slated to offer 284 hotel rooms. This according to a statement released on The James Hotel's website...
While all of us at The James continue to maintain our commitment to community, personal wellness, art and design, we will not be introducing The James Hotels to Los Angeles at this time. It has been an honor to be a part of this endeavor, and we have an endless amount of gratitude for our partners and especially to you, our guests.
In addition to the hotel there is 40,000 SqFt of retail space now including a new Fred Segal storefront. No word yet as to who will be occupying the newly abandoned hotel tower. RIP James Hotel WeHo. :(
